Free Eight-Month Spiritual Direction

Do you need someone to accompany you in your spiritual journey? Participants in the FCJ Christian Life Centre’s spiritual direction training program will begin their practicum this Fall, and are looking for people they can meet monthly from October 2018 to May 2019. There is no charge for these sessions of spiritual direction If you’re interested, please contact the FCJ Centre at 403-228-4215 or email Sr. Madeleine Gregg at madeleine.gregg@fcjcentre.ca before May 31.

DMC Coming to a Close

After five years of ministering to St. Michael’s young adults, the Devoted Messengers of Christ (DMC) group will now be coming to a close. INFO SESSION: FOOTSTEPS OF ST. PAUL GREECE PILGRIMAGE

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

This year, St. Michael’s will be hosting Calgary’s World Day of Prayer service on Friday, March 2 at 7 p.m. All are invited to take part and be one in prayer with our Christian sisters and brothers.

DIVINE MERCY LENTEN MISSION

To foster a deeper devotion to the Divine Mercy, all are invited to this year’s Divine Mercy Lenten Mission happening on Tuesdays March 6, 13, and 20. Each night will begin with Mass at 7 p.m., and our speakers will be Fr. Jerome Lavigne, Fr. Cristino Bouvette, and Sharon van der Sloot. For more info, visit saintmichael.ca/lent.

55+ ST. PATRICK’S DAY SOCIAL

The 55+ Circle of Friends invites those ages 55 and over to the St. Patrick’s Day social on Wednesday, March 14 at noon. Tickets are $15 each and will be on sale at the parish office beginning Monday, Feb. 26, and after Mass on the weekends of March 3/4 and March 10/11. The last date for purchase is Monday, March 12 at 10 a.m. Sorry, no refunds.

THE PASSION OF OUR LORD RE-ENACTMENT

For those interested in participating in the re-enactment of the Passion on Good Friday, March 30, please fill out an application form in the gathering area. Men are especially encouraged to apply. For more information, please contact Bob at camaro11@shaw.ca.

PALLIATIVE CARE EDUCATION PROGRAM

St. Michael’s will be hosting the Diocesan Palliative Care Education Program this Spring. Palliative care is the active, compassionate care of a person whose disease is no longer responsive to traditional treatment aimed at a cure. Registration is $50, but the course is offered free of charge for St. Michael’s parishioners and for alumni of past courses. For more information, click here.

ART WALK 2018

Calling St. Michael’s artists and photographers to participate in this year’s Art Walk, happening on April 14-15, 2018. We are seeking to celebrate and honour the God-given talents in our community. Participants will be 18 years and over. Amateurs, emerging artists, and professionals are all welcome. Registration forms are available at the Parish Office or at saintmichael.ca/event/artwalk.

SUNDAY 5 P.M. HOSPITALITY MINISTERS NEEDED
