Triduum Schedule

  • Holy Thursday: Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m. followed by Eucharistic Adoration until 12 midnight (no 9 a.m. Daily Mass)
  • Good Friday: Good Friday liturgy with a re-enactment of the Lord’s Passion at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. (no 9 a.m. Daily Mass or Eucharistic Adoration)
  • Holy Saturday: Easter Vigil Mass at 8 p.m. (no 9 a.m. Daily Mass or 5 p.m. Anticipated Sunday Mass)

Lenten Penitential Service

There will be several priests available to hear confessions after the 7 p.m. Mass on Tuesday, March 27. Come and encounter God’s mercy in the sacrament of Reconciliation.


Divine Mercy

  • All are invited to the Holy Hour on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8 at 3 p.m. here at St. Michael’s. Join us for Eucharistic Adoration, meditation, and recitation of the chaplet

EASTER MEMORY FLOWERS

Parishioners are invited to decorate the church environment for Easter by purchasing an Easter flower in memory of a loved one. Forms are available in the gathering area. Completed forms along with payment can be dropped o at the parish office. Deadline for orders is Monday, March 26.


THANK YOU FR. TERRY

Fr. Terry will be taking a leave of absence beginning Sunday, April 1, 2018, and will not be returning to St. Michael’s. He is returning to the Philippines as he was unable to attend his brother’s recent funeral and to take care of personal matters. Thank you Fr. Terry for your service and ministry at St. Michael’s, and be assured of our prayers for you.


NEW DATE: ENCOUNTER YOUTH BIBLE STUDY PROGRAM

Youth in grades 5-9 and their parents are invited: more than just a Bible study program, Encounter: Experiencing God in the Everyday is a life-changing experience that speaks directly to the hearts and minds of youth. This four-week study beginning Monday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. is designed for them to understand the amazing story that ties all of the Bible together. Click here to learn more and to register.


EASTER VIGIL SOCIAL

All are invited to the social following the 8 p.m. Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday, March 31. Please bring a finger food, snack, or appetizer to share with your family, friends, and fellow parishioners.


A SONG FOR RACHEL CONCERT

Mark your calendar for “A Song for Rachel” concert on Friday, April 27: a fun-filled, family fundraising concert and silent auction to support Project Rachel, which is a post-abortion healing and reconciliation ministry supported by the Diocese of Calgary. Everyone is invited to attend this event. Silent auction opens at 6 p.m. and concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets: $15/person or $35/family. Contact the Life & Family Resource Centre at 403-218-5505 for tickets or to donate silent auction items.


Oremus: St. Michael’s Prayer Group

Come and join Oremus on Monday, April 9 at 6 p.m. and every second Monday of the month to pray the Vespers — the evening prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours — for St. Michael’s. To pray with us at home, contact Heather Schilling at 403-919-0991 or heathermontschilling@gmail.com.


PALLIATIVE CARE EDUCATION PROGRAM

St. Michael’s will be hosting the Diocesan Palliative Care Education Program on April 6/7 and April 27/28. Palliative care is the active, compassionate care of a person whose disease is no longer responsive to traditional treatment aimed at a cure. Registration is $50, but the course is offered free of charge for St. Michael’s parishioners and for alumni of past courses. For more information, click here.


Women’s Ministry: The Wild Goose 

The Wild Goose continues on Thursday, April 12 with the morning session at 10 a.m. and evening session at 7 p.m. This study program invites Catholic women into a more profound, life-giving relationship with the Holy Spirit. To register, email womensministry@saintmichael.ca.


Moms and Tots Group

Calling all moms with little ones: if you’re interested in coming together with other moms for coffee and fellowship, join us on Thursday, April 12 after the 9 a.m. Mass at the gathering area.

SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

Thanks to the donor who provided three bags of boys’ clothing. The SSVP is still in need of a car seat for a 2-year old boy — if you have one to donate, please leave it at the SSVP donations box in the gathering area.


ASSISI PILGRIMAGE: THE PRACTICE OF PRESENCE WITH ST. FRANCIS AND ST. CLARE
