Name Tag Sunday

Have you ever seen a familiar face at St. Michael’s and just can’t remember their name? ON the first weekend of every month, we would ask everyone in attendance at each Mass to wear a name tag. Blank name tags will be available in the Gathering Area for you to fill out.

Potluck Sunday

Sacraments Registration Deadline

Registration deadline for Confirmation (Grades 6 and up) with Bishop McGrattan on Sunday, May 6, 2018 is Monday, Jan. 8, while the deadline for the combined Reconciliation/First Communion is on Monday, Jan. 15. Grief Share Program

Have you or someone you know lost a loved one recently? The Grief Support Ministry invites you to Grief Share: an 8-week program happening Monday evenings beginning Jan. 15, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sessions consist of a video seminar, group support discussions, and a personal workbook. Free-will giving of $10 for the booklet. Please register at the Parish Office at 403-249-0423 ext. 101.

Rediscovering our Roots in Judaism

As part of the events for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, all are invited for a talk by Don Swenson, PhD on Rediscovering our Roots in Judaism and Healing the Ancient Wound of Disunity, happening Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Day Chapel.

Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast

St. Michael’s is invited to the K of C pancake breakfast on Sunday, Jan. 21 after the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses. Cost: free will offering. All donations will be used to support the activities that Knights sponsor, including Kids’ Kingdom and the Youth of the parish.


Venerate a relic of one of the most famous saints in the world — St. Francis Xavier — on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. right here at St. Michael’s. For more information, visit cco.ca/relic.

Parish Mission with Sr. Helena Burns, FSP

A renowned #medianuns, Sr. Helena Burns is a prolific Theology of the Body speaker and film writer/director. Join her on a parish mission happening on Feb. 4-6 at 7 p.m. each night here at St. Michael’s. Sr. Helena will be speaking on the topic of being a missionary in today’s digital world. All are welcome.


The Music Ministry (Saturday 5 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.) is looking for a few additional singers to join their teams. Candidates should have a strong voice and, preferably, be able to read music notation. We are also looking for cantors (those able to sing the Psalm).
