We’re Hiring: Full Time Custodian

24-Hour Eucharistic Adoration

Recharge your spiritual life and spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament through prayer and adoration on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018. Sign up for hours outside the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. If you’re signing up for hours after 10 p.m., please obtain an access card from the Parish Office by noon.

Walk in the Footsteps of St. Paul with Fr. John

Join Fr. John on a pilgrimage to Greece next Fall (Oct. 17-27, 2018) to retrace the missionary journeys of St. Paul. Also, enjoy a 3-night cruise visiting the Greek islands of Mykonos, Patmos, and Santorini. The total cost of $5,484 includes land, air, fuel surcharges and taxes, port charges, and tips for the 3-day cruise portion, as well as all airport transfers. Request for Singers

The Music Ministry (Saturday 5 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.) is looking for a few additional singers to join their teams. Candidates should have a strong voice and, preferably, be able to read music notation. We are also looking for cantors (those able to sing the Psalm). Sacraments Registration Deadline

Registration deadline for Confirmation (Grades 6 and up) with Bishop McGrattan on Sunday, May 6, 2018 is Monday, Jan. 8, while the deadline for the combined Reconciliation/First Communion is on Monday, Jan. 15. Women’s Ministry: Wild Good Bible Study

The Wild Goose was a term that the ancient Celts had for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not merely someone relegated to Confirmation, but He desires a relationship with us. This is a study program to be conducted by the Women’s Ministry on Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. beginning Jan. 11, 2018. To register, please email womensministry@saintmichael.ca.

Grief Share Program

Have you or someone you know lost a loved one recently? The Grief Support Ministry invites you to Grief Share: an 8-week program happening Monday evenings beginning Jan. 15, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sessions consist of a video seminar, group support discussions, and a personal workbook. Christmas Hampers 2017

A great big thank you to our parish community! On Monday, Dec. 18, we prepared and delivered 172 hampers, serving 620 people. Many individual contributions enabled our ministry to serve.All financial contributions in support made after Dec. 31 will be tax receipted in February 2018.

Stocking Tree

Thanks to all the parishioners who so generously and abundantly donated stockings for the Stocking Stree. There were over 205 stockings donated to the Calgary Drop-In Centre for Christmas.

2017 TAX RECEIPTED CONTRIBUTIONS

Please note that according to CRA regulations and Diocesan policy, any contributions receipted for the year 2017 must be received by the parish in the year 2017. To ensure that we are following CRA regulations, any contributions dated for 2017 but received on or after Jan. 1, 2018 will be posted to the 2018 tax year.
