Pass it On: Winter Coats and Boots Needed

Parishioners are welcome to drop off donations of gently-used winter coats and boots after Masses this weekend (October 5-6), in support of Pass it On‘s annual clothing drive for families in need. If you cannot drop off your donations today, please contact Theresa at 403-815-6055.


Ministry Fair

This weekend, we will be featuring our ministry at our fall Ministry Fair. Come and check out the different booths in the gathering area after Mass to see which ministry you’d be interested to volunteer with. One Rock 2019

Calling Catholics ages 18-35! St. Michael’s is once again hosting One Rock, the Diocese’s Catholic young adults conference. This year’s speakers include Paul Kim, Emily Wilson, and Ken Yasinski, with special guests Chris Bray and Joe Melendrez. The first 300 registrants will be invited to an exclusive launch party at the Calgary Italian Cultural Centre on Friday night, October 25. Get your tickets today at www.onerock.ca.


Kids’ Kingdom: Volunteer Teachers Needed

We are currently looking for adult volunteer teachers (ages 18+) who can help us run our children’s liturgy ministry during weekend Masses. Lessons are already made and training is provided. Moms and Tots Upcoming Events

On Friday, October 18 at 9:45 a.m., Dr. Beata Komierowski will be speaking at Moms and Tots on the topic of mental health, postpartum depression, and anxiety. All moms are welcome!

Mass and Rosary ProcessionNew

In celebration of October as a month dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, all are invited on Tuesday, October 29 here at the church for Mass at 7 p.m., followed by a candle-lit rosary procession. Bring your family and friends! Refreshments to follow.


Intermediate-level ELL classesNew

Intermediate-level English Language Learners (ELL) classes will begin on Tuesday, October 29, from 10 a.m. to noon. Those interested to join are welcome to drop in anytime, no prior registration needed.


Calgary’s Annual Red Mass

The annual Red Mass invites all judges, lawyers, paralegals, assistants, clerks, and other members of the legal profession and related professions, as well as family and friends on Wednesday, October 30 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Bishop McGrattan will be celebrating Mass at 5 p.m. followed by a reception at the Cathedral hall featuring Rev. Dr. Andrew Bennett, Canada’s first Ambassador for Religious Freedom, who will be speaking about Conscience Rights. While all are welcome to attend Mass, the reception is a ticketed event: email the St. Thomas More Lawyers Guild at calgary.stmlg@gmail.com to request tickets.


Save the Date: All Souls’ Day MassNew

All are invited to our All Souls’ Day Mass on Saturday, November 2 at 9 a.m. Let us commend the souls of our departed loved ones to the mercy of God through the sacrifice of the Holy Mass. Parishioners are encouraged to extend this invitation to family and friends, especially those in our parish community who have lost a loved one or are interred in our columbarium.


Change is in the air: 2019 national pro-life conferenceNew

This conference, happening on November 8-9 at the Executive Royal Hotel (Calgary), will include workshops, panels, and a banquet keynote address, all focused on inspiring and equipping you to defend the most vulnerable in our society from abortion and euthanasia. Speakers include LifeSite News writer Jonathon Van Maren, Scott Hayward and Alissa Golob of RightNow, Cameron Cote from the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform (CCBR), and former Ohio state representative and Heartbeat Bill sponsor Christina Hagan, among many others.
