St. John Paul II wrote the Theology of the Body: a treasure of Catholic teaching that reveals the truth about human sexuality, relationships, and how these gifts point to our ultimate destiny — union with God. The whole Bible is a romance story with God and his chosen people (in the Old Testament) and God and his Church (in the New Testament). Christ wants to marry us!
In this course, married couples (and couples who are engaged or seriously dating) will be introduced to the core message of TOB. There will be couples’ exercises in the program — but if only one person from a couple is able to attend, they are welcome to.
By applying the teachings of the Theology of the Body to our relationships, we can have greater satisfaction and will be able to deal with setbacks and challenges in our familial relationship. Furthermore, we will become more effective parents and use our relationships to praise God.
When: Saturday, May 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. • Venue: St. Michael Catholic Community (800 85 Street SW) • Cost: $80 per couple, which includes lunch, a course manual, and a deck of in-to-me-see cards.
