Men’s Ministry
The St. Michael Men’s Ministry is excited to announce this year’s That Man Is You program (TMIY) is a 2026 update of the original session, Revelation of the Father, first launched more than 20 years ago, with refreshed content and new presenters. Revelation of the Father calls men to lay a foundation strong enough to carry his children, his grandchildren, and a culture hungry for truth. Never been to TMIY? Now’s the perfect time. Stepped away for a while? We invite you to return. A current attendee? Welcome back. The program runs Wednesday mornings from September 16 to December 9, 2026. This year, there will be an optional gathering for all returning TMIY men on Wednesday, September 9 before the official year begins. We meet in the Narthex beginning with breakfast at 6:00am, a short video at 6:30am with discussion at 7:00am, ending at 7:30am. All men are invited.
Monday’s Bible Study for Fall 2026:
“The Pivotal Players I” (continuation)
Join Bishop Barron on the journey to unlock the truth behind the most influential people of the Catholic Church. We’ll discover how the Word of God was their light and driver for their close relationship with God. We will be able to meet St. John Henry Newman, G.K. Chesterton and Michelangelo, and the places where they lived, learned, and worked on their teachings and arts. It will start on Monday, October 5 with 6 in-person sessions (no zoom) in the St. Nicholas Room every Monday at 7:00pm. St. Michael’s Prayer Group (CCCRS Prayer Meeting)
Join us for our weekly prayer meetings featuring praise and worship, bible study, and intercessory prayers. The prayer meetings are from 7:00-8:00pm in the Day Chapel. “The expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short.” (Proverbs 23:18). All are welcome. Come and be blessed!
Moms and Tots
Moms and Tots will be kicking off their season Thursday, September 17 from 9:30-11:30am in the St. Nicholas Room! Moms, dads, grandparents, and caregivers are all welcome to come enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a safe space for our little ones to play and grow closer to God. This year we will be showcasing a theme/talk once a month! Sign up on flock note to stay in the know! Please remember if you are able to lend a hand setting up or taking down our room once a month, please reach out to Elise at 403-991-4612. Volunteers are still needed.
Feast Light St. Michael
The Feast Light St. Michael is a welcoming gathering where we come together to share good food, grow in faith, build friendships, and experience God’s love. It is an opportunity for parishioners to pray, connect, share, laugh, and enjoy fellowship in a warm and welcoming community. No prior registration is required, and there is no fee to attend. It is a potluck-style gathering, so everyone is welcome to bring something to share if they are able. We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, beginning with a potluck lunch at 1:00pm, followed by prayer from 2:00-4:00pm in the St. Nicholas Room starting September 26, 2026. Bring your family and friends and join us as we grow in faith.
Grief Share Program
Grief Share is a special weekly seminar and support group designed to help you rebuild your life after losing a loved one. Our group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and want to help you through the difficult times. This program consists of a video seminar (Christian based with personal stories from Christian experts who have experienced grief), group support discussions with facilitators, and a personal workbook. This is an 7-8-week program and will run from September 8 – October 20, 2026 on Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00pm. Free will giving/ $20 charge for the workbook. For registration, email: peggy.tan@shaw.ca
Parish Rosary Rally:
Sunday, October 11, 2026 / St. Michael’s Sanctuary / Rosary 10:15 am / Consecration Prayer at 11am Mass / Refreshment after 11am Mass.
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20) You are warmly invited to join our parish family as we gather in the church for a powerful Rosary Rally on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Our world, our country, families and neighborhoods need the healing power of prayer more than ever. By coming together as one large body in front of our Blessed Mother, her son Jesus, and St. Joseph, we pray for world peace, the conversion of sinners, and spiritual/physical/mental protection for our community and our families and friends. Whether you pray the rosary daily or haven’t picked up your beads in years, your voice matters. Let us fill our sacred Sanctuary with a beautiful chorus of prayer, standing in solidarity with one another to call down God’s mercy.
CWL General Meeting
The St. Michael Catholic Women’s League will have their general meeting on Tuesday, October 13 in the St. Michael’s Room at 6:30pm (following Mass). All members and guests are welcome to attend.
Family Adoration
An hour of Family Adoration of the exposed Blessed Sacrament at St. Michael’s will be on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 10:00 -11:00 am in the Sanctuary. All families are invited to come and adore Jesus in an atmosphere of welcome and openness to the lively spirit that children bring. Jesus said, “Let the little children come!”
Info Night on the Greece Pilgrimage

Alpha
Good news, St. Michael’s Alpha is coming soon! Alpha is an 11 week course that explores life and faith through a weekly meal, engaging talk, and small group discussion. The Alpha course will start Monday, January 4th from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. Currently, we are seeking volunteers for many roles. If you signed up during the Stewardship Weekends, we will be contacting you shortly. However, if you did not have an opportunity to register, there is still time. Please email Cathy Sandau at cesandau@gmail.com. Volunteer opportunities include set up and take down, greeters, a group host or a group helper, and meal prep. If you have not experienced Alpha, registration for participants will take place in November. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Christmas Hamper Supporters
Hamper Assembly and Delivery Day is Monday, December 14. Sign up to help on Hamper Day will take place in later November. We always welcome new recruits to join our Hamper Organizing Committee. The Angel Tree coordinators are seeking an extra pair of hands to help prepare donated gifts for inclusion with hampers. Please contact Colleen at 403-837-7791 if you have an interest in participating in either of these programs. Referrals for a Christmas hamper will be accepted beginning October 1. Greece: In the Footsteps of Paul the Apostle (May 25 – June 2, 2027)

World Youth Day
World Youth Day 2027, taking place in South Korea from August 3–8, 2027, is a unique opportunity for young adults to deepen their faith, encounter Christ alongside pilgrims from around the world, and grow in community with fellow Catholics. This pilgrimage is more than a trip, it is an invitation to answer God’s call, strengthen your relationship with Him, and bring that renewed faith back to your parish and community.
