Confirmation Registration – New
Registration for 2021 Confirmation is now open until January 31. Candidates and families will prepare with online materials using the Chosen program, which we’ve used in the parish previously. For more information and to register for the program, please visit saintmichael.ca/confirmation. Currently, Confirmation Masses are scheduled for the weekend of April 22-24. Fish for Fridays
Support the CWL’s annual Fish for Fridays fundraiser and stock up on seafood for Lent! From January 6-27, you can purchase restaurant-quality fish and seafood products at wholesale prices. To comply with all Covid-19 restrictions, online ordering will be available with curbside pickup at the church on Wednesday, February 10 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. To place your order, click the button below:
CWL Online Contest for Kids
The Catholic Women’s League is sponsoring an online contest for students in grades 4-6 and 7-12. Categories are: poster or art piece you have created and poem or short story you have written. The contest theme is “what God’s love means to me”. Please submit your entry by emailing your poem/story or a photo of your creation to firstname.lastname@example.org. Winners will be published in the March newsletter and prizes will be awarded. Deadline for submission is February 2021. Entries will be judged by another CWL council.
Evening Service of Prayer
Next week marks the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (January 18-25). Join Bishop Todd Atkinson (Preacher, Via Apostolica), Dcn. Trevor Jameus (Via Apostolica), Rev. Terry Fach (Ambrose University), Fr. Matthew Perreault (Anglican Diocese of Calgary), and Rev. Adrian Martens (Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary) as they celebrate the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, live-streamed from Ascension Parish on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021 from 7-8 p.m. at www.ascensionparish.ca.
