Parish Office Closed
Please note that the parish office will be closed on Monday, May 20, for the Victoria Day holiday. However, Mass will still be celebrated at 9 a.m.
Coming Soon: Member Engagement Survey (ME-25) – New
On June 1-16, St. Michael’s will be employing Gallup’s ME-25 survey to get a collective view of the spiritual health of St. Michael’s. All parishioners ages 18 and older are strongly encouraged to participate in the survey, which only takes about five minutes to complete. Mass for Venezuela – New
In an act of charity for our Venezuelan brothers and sisters, all are invited to pray for Venezuela during the Holy Mass on Friday, May 24 at 7 p.m., happening at Holy Spirit Parish (10827 24 Street SW). The Mass will be in Spanish.
Moms and Tots
Moms are invited every Friday at 9:45 a.m. for coffee, fellowship, and free play for children. Whether you’re pregnant, an infant, toddler, or your children are in school, moms are welcome to come! Important dates – May 24: Maureen Ross, St. Michael’s Sacrament Preparation Coordinator, will be sharing about the power of Marian devotion • Monday, May 27: Moms Night Out at 7:30 p.m. featuring a specialized “mommy workout” for all fitness levels. Film Screening: Voices of Grief
If you are grieving from the loss of a loved one, know someone who does, or if you’re interested in knowing how to successfully navigate through grief, you are invited to a free film screening of Voices of Grief: Honoring the Sacred Journey. Vocations Retreat for Women – New
For women ages 16-40: meet religious sisters from various religious communities in the Diocese of Calgary on Saturday, May 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be Mass, adoration, vocations testimonies, and one-on-one time with the sisters. In support of our 60th anniversary Habitat for Humanity project, there will be a cake sale after the Saturday 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. & 11 a.m. Masses on the weekend of May 25-26. The Canadian Blood Services is looking for donors for the upcoming blood drive on Monday, May 27, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. here at St. Michael’s. To book your appointment, visit www.blood.ca.
St. Michael’s Town Hall
Parishioners are invited to come and hear from Fr. John in-depth information about developments since our last open house in January, a review of 2018 pastoral and financial statistics, and to meet the new Parish Leadership Council members.
Marriage Encounter Drop-In Circle

29th Annual Bishop’s Golf Tournament – New
This year’s golf tournament in support of the diocese’s Feed the Hungry program will be happening on Monday, June 10, at the Silvertip Resort in Canmore. Funds raised will go towards the program’s unsponsored dinners, ensuring that we can always provide Sunday dinner for FTH’s clients. Taste of the World
Taste the flavours of the different countries represented at St. Michael’s during this year’s Taste of the World, happening on Saturday, June 5 after the 5 p.m. Mass. Food tickets will be sold for $1 each. For those who wish to sell food: sign up will be available at the gathering are beginning April 27-28 (please supply your own flag). There will be a meeting with all vendors on Sunday, May 5, after the 11 a.m. Mass. For any further questions, email Vince at email@example.com.
VACATION BIBLE Camp
We are now taking in registrations for children ages 5-10 for this summer’s VBS. The camp runs Mon-Fri from 9 a.m. to noon, with the first week on July 8-12 and the second week on July 15-19. Registration is $65: please register your child at the parish office (Mon-Thurs from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and until 4 p.m. on Fridays).
