Stage 2 of Alberta Relaunch and Mass Attendance

In accordance with stage 2 of Alberta’s Relaunch Strategy, Bishop McGrattan has allowed parishes to increase Mass attendance given that physical distancing measures are met. Until we are able to determine the maximum number of people we can safely accommodate each Mass, please be advised that we will continue with our current arrangements for public Mass for the time being, including the pre-registration system. This includes Masses during the June 13-14 and 20-21 weekend. The capacity for the Masses will change effective the week of June 22, as we get the parish ready to accommodate larger numbers while still maintaining physical distancing.

We will advise all parishioners through our communications channels once we’ve made any changes. We appreciate everyone’s patience!

Rapid Access Counselling

From the pandemic to the financial market, and even working from home, many individuals are experiencing immense stress. The Catholic Family Services’ Rapid Access Counselling is available for those interested, with counselling sessions done through online video conferencing. For more information or to book a session, visit booksinglesession.cfs-ab.org or call 403-205-5294.

New Priest Assignments – New

On August 1, Fr. John and Fr. Pilmaiken will be assuming their new roles as rector of St. Mary’s Cathedral and Associate Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish, respectively. We are grateful for their priestly ministry here at St. Michael’s and for the witness they show through their fidelity to their vocation. We also look forward to welcoming Fr. Anthoni Poul Narisetti and Fr. Raul Hernandez to our parish community as our new shepherds and spiritual fathers. Please keep all of our priests in your prayers!

Catholic Women’s League BBQ Fundraiser – New

From St. Michael’s CWL: With summer right around the corner, we’re offering parishioners some wonderful BBQ options via your CWL. We’ve received many compliments on our Fish for Fridays products, especially on the hamburgers & steaks. Maureen Ross says, “I’d definitely order from them again; their hamburgers are a hit with my clan!” K of C Grand Knight Larry Wagner says, “My grandkids thought the hamburgers were delicious so we will be ordering.”

Click here to browse our huge selection of high-quality food products which you can conveniently purchase online. Curbside pickup will be on Monday, June 29 from 4:30-6 p.m. by the south entrance doors (near the parish office).
