Confirmation for Adult Catholics

If you are baptized in the Catholic Church and have received First Communion but aren’t confirmed yet, you are invited to take the Adult Confirmation Class, in preparation for Confirmation on Saturday, June 8, during the 5 p.m. Mass. Class schedule: Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. beginning April 30 until May 28. To register or to learn more, please visit saintmichael.ca/confirmation.

Please note that the next opportunity for adult Confirmation will not be until Easter of 2020, so all those who are not yet confirmed are strongly encouraged to do so this year.

Thank you to all Holy Week, Triduum and Easter Volunteers

Than you to all the individuals who volunteered their time, talent and treasure during the Holy Week and Triduum liturgies: the passion play actors, Palm Sunday proclaimers, decorators, and our Hospitality, Eucharistic, and Music ministers, among many others. Thank you for beautifying our church and for making our Holy Week and Triduum liturgies memorable.

Thank you to all those who attended, organized and volunteered at our first annual Family Easter Eggstravaganza and for making it a huge success: we had over 500 people in attendance! If you want to recycle your plastic eggs, we will have a bin next to the men’s washroom where you can drop them off.

Panhandling at Church – New

In recent months, there have been people asking for money at the church entrances after Sunday Mass. Please invite them to Mass and encourage them to stay for refreshments after, or take them out for a meal. Please don’t give them cash — instead, continue to financially support the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, who is available to help them with any material or emotional needs, or other agencies such as the Drop-In Centre and The Mustard Seed.

Eucharistic Adoration Schedule for May – New

Please note that 24-hour Eucharistic Adoration for May has been moved to May 10-11. On May 3, Eucharistic Adoration will be until 6 p.m. only. Sign up for a slot outside the Adoration Chapel or online.

Creative Arts: Open Studio

The Creative Arts Ministry’s next open studio sessions will be on Wednesdays May 1, 8, 15, and 22, from 9:45 a.m. to noon. We invite all artists and aspiring artists to come and explore making art through videos and practice. Please bring your own supplies in any medium. Those who wish to attend can register by emailing artwalk@saintmichael.ca.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter
