Congratulations to Valentine, Alexandra, Ted, Duncan, Lawrence, Julie, and Keefer who were welcomed into the Catholic Church on Saturday. A special thanks to the RCIA team for preparing them throughout their journey. Thank you to all Holy Week & Triduum Volunteers

Thank you to Bob and Leslie Choquette and all the individuals who volunteered their time, talent, and treasure during the Holy Week and Triduum Liturgies: the passion play actors, Palm Sunday proclaimers, decorators, and our hospitality, Eucharistic, and music ministers, among many others. Thank you for beautifying our church and for making our Holy Week and Triduum liturgies memorable.

Office Closure

Please note that the parish office will be closed on Easter Monday, April 2. However, Daily Mass will still be celebrated at 9 a.m.


All are invited to the Holy Hour on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8 at 3 p.m. here at St. Michael’s. Join us for Eucharistic Adoration, meditation, and recitation of the chaplet.

There will be 24-Hour Eucharistic Adoration on Friday, April 6. Please sign up for slot times here.

Catholic Christian Outreach: April Summit

Young adults are invited to an evening of Eucharistic Adoration, Confession, and praise & worship at CCO’s April Summit here at St. Michael’s on Friday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m.


Youth in grades 5-9 and their parents are invited: more than just a Bible study program, Encounter: Experiencing God in the Everyday is a life-changing experience that speaks directly to the hearts and minds of youth. This four-week study beginning Monday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. is designed for them to understand the amazing story that ties all of the Bible together. Click here to learn more and to register.

Oremus: St. Michael’s Prayer Group

Come and join Oremus on Monday, April 9 at 6 p.m. and every second Monday of the month to pray the Vespers — the evening prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours — for St. Michael’s. To pray with us at home, contact Heather Schilling at 403-919-0991 or heathermontschilling@gmail.com.

Moms and Tots Group

Calling all moms with little ones: if you’re interested in coming together with other moms for coffee and fellowship, join us on Thursday, April 12 after the 9 a.m. Mass at the gathering area.


All are invited to a unique evening featuring the songs and sonnets of Canadian singer-songwriter Steve Bell and poet Malcolm Guite, happening right here at St. Michael’s on Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are only $20 each and can be purchased at stevebell.com or at the parish office. Art Walk 2018

Parishioners’ paintings and photography will be on display upstairs in the mezzanine on Saturday, April 14 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and between Masses on Sunday, April 15 until 7:30 p.m.

Women’s Ministry: Brunch and Speaker

Women of St. Michael’s are invited to a potluck brunch and speaker event on Saturday, April 21 at 9:30 a.m. Please bring a ready-to-eat dish to share. After the meal, Karen Bout will speak about The Power of the Rosary.


Mark your calendar for “A Song for Rachel” concert on Friday, April 27: a fun-filled, family fundraising concert and silent auction to support Project Rachel, which is a post-abortion healing and reconciliation ministry supported by the Diocese of Calgary. Everyone is invited to attend this event. Silent auction opens at 6 p.m. and concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets: $15/person or $35/family. Contact the Life & Family Resource Centre at 403-218-5505 for tickets or to donate silent auction items.

Greek Pilgrimage: Walk in the Footsteps of St. Paul

Join Fr. John on a Greek pilgrimage on Oct. 17-27, 2018 as you retrace the missionary journeys of St. Paul. Also, enjoy a 3-night cruise visiting the islands of Mykonos, Patmos, and Santorini.
