Women's Ministry

About us

Our ministry provides an environment to seek Christ and enter into relationship with the Holy Trinity through faith formation, retreats, studies, and social events amongst a community of women eager to support each other through fellowship and service.

  • To provide an environment for women at St. Michael Catholic Community to grow deeper in faith through education and faith sharing, where women are seen, known, and loved by God and our fellow parishioners.
  • To help women come to know that their own story has a deeper purpose and meaning not only for themselves, but to inspire and evangelize others.
  • To grow in the mission of our parish, that is to “warm hearts and heal wounds.”
  • To share the tools we need in order to live our faith in the larger community and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with confidence.

Coffee Connections

Coffee Connections is a fun, safe, and faith-based atmosphere to share a coffee and get to know each other by building community in a smaller, more intimate setting. If you’d like to host a Coffee Connections, please send a note to Claudia at womensministry@saintmichael.ca.

Women’s Life Stories

This is an opportunity for women to share their faith testimonies and inspire others through their lived experiences. If you’d like to share during one of these sessions, please email us at womensministry@saintmichael.ca.

Women’s Retreats

Prayer, song, and fellowship together on some weeknights from 7 to 9 p.m. Often, we have an inspirational speaker and/or testimonial, sharing our faith story.

Current Faith Formation Studies

Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist

Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on ZOOM beginning Jan. 12 to Feb. 2, 2021

Although the Eucharist appears to be simple bread and wine, it is actually the “source and summit” of the Christian life. Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist explores the truth and beauty of Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist, from its origins in Sacred Scripture, to its profound role in the life of the Church and her members. It is the crescendo of the entire story of salvation.

This is a virtual study hosted by the Women’s Ministry on ZOOM every Tuesday at 7 p.m. beginning Jan. 12 to Feb. 2, 2021. To join and get the ZOOM link, register here.

Forgiven: The Transforming Power of Confession

This study explores the grace and healing offered in Confession and shows how this sacrament of mercy reveals the depth and bounty of God’s love. By looking at God’s revelation of his mercy in Scripture and making a step-by-step examination of the Rite itself, Forgiven communicates God’s invitation to each one of us to come experience his indescribable love in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

This 4-week session will be held virtually via ZOOM. Click here to learn more and sign up.
